We process personal data only to the extent necessary for our website, your ride and our legal obligations, or where you have given consent. The legal basis is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, DSGVO), the Austrian Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz) and the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021).

1. Controller

Samsonov & Sert GmbH (Taxi Steiermark Graz), Ziehrerstraße 68a, 8041 Graz, Austria. Phone +43 664 196 08 04, e-mail info@taxi-steiermark.com.

2. Visiting the website and hosting

The website is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, which acts on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). When you access the site, the server necessarily processes your IP address, the page requested and details of your browser in order to deliver the page and operate it securely (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our web server does not store access logs containing this data.

Fonts and all images are loaded directly from our server. Simply visiting the website does not establish any connection to Google or other third parties. We currently do not use any analytics or advertising tools (such as Google Analytics).

3. Booking a ride: address search and route

When you type an address into the booking form, the text you enter is sent to our own address search on our server (Hetzner, Germany) so that matching addresses can be suggested. It is based on the Austrian address register of the BEV (CC BY 4.0). To calculate the distance and indicative price, the coordinates of the pick-up point and destination are sent to our own routing server (OSRM, map data from OpenStreetMap) on the same server. No access logs are stored in the process. Only if our own services are temporarily unavailable does your browser fall back to the Photon address search service of komoot GmbH, Potsdam, Germany, and the public routing server of the open-source project OSRM; for technical reasons, your IP address is also transmitted in that case. Your name and phone number are not sent to any of these services.

Only if you tap “Use my location” and your device allows it is your location determined and sent to our server (or, as a fallback, to Photon) for the address search.

The legal basis is the preparation of your ride (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The entries in the form itself are not sent to our server.

4. Requests by WhatsApp and phone

When you submit the form, WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled message to us (pick-up point, destination, time, vehicle, indicative price, name and phone number). We only receive it once you send this message in WhatsApp. WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta), which processes data under its own terms, including in the USA. If you prefer not to use it, please call us.

When you call or message us, we process your phone number and your ride details in order to plan the ride and reply to you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Requests that do not result in a ride are deleted after six months at the latest.

5. Storage on your device, cookies

We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. Only if you explicitly tick “Remember addresses on this device” in the booking form does your browser store your most recently chosen addresses (at most five, with coordinates) in your device’s local storage. This data never leaves your device. You can untick the box at any time; the stored addresses are then deleted (consent, § 165(3) TKG 2021, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

6. Ride, payment and invoice

To carry out the ride we process the pick-up point and destination, times, fare and payment method. For card payments, our payment service provider SumUp processes the card data as an independent controller; we only receive the payment confirmation. We keep receipts and invoices for seven years due to the statutory retention obligation under tax law (§ 132 Bundesabgabenordnung, Federal Fiscal Code; Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

7. Business customers and partner companies

For business customers we store company details, the people authorised to book, cost centres and the routes travelled in order to issue a monthly invoice at the end of the month (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Rides may be carried out by partner taxi companies. They receive only the details they need for the ride.

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time. To do so, write to us at the address in section 1.
